HI, IT’S ME!

I’m Kinga, and this place was born in my head many years ago.
I invited my family into it, and together we created the LOVERLANDER brand.
I travel in the smallest off-road vehicle in the world – a Suzuki Jimny – which I converted into a mini camper based on my own design. After more than six years of off-road rallying, deep-mud battles, side-slope driving and standing on the podium more than once, I decided it was time to enrich hardcore off-roading with real expeditions.

I’ve explored many places off the beaten track – including northern Thailand, where I avoided paved roads and reached corners you won’t find on holiday postcards. Still, I suspect my 4×4 fell in love with Poland’s Suwałki region, because it keeps taking me back there again and again. I’ve modified and equipped my Jimny so it can not only go anywhere, but take me everywhere – far beyond where a regular car, van or big camper could reach. When I set up camp around the car and unfold the rooftop tent, I explore the area on a rugged, over-20-year-old motorcycle that travels with me on a trailer.

In the autumn of 2022, with my shoulder still healing after a motorcycle injury, I passed my full motorcycle license – and from that moment on, motorbike expeditions became a permanent part of my travel calendar. I’ve ridden through the mountains of northern Thailand, travelled around Morocco, crossed the Sahara, visited Hungary’s Lake Balaton, the Austrian Alps, the Slovenian coast and a Swedish island.

On this blog, I share my expedition tips, test gear and equipment, and show how I manage life with a tiny cargo space – travelling with dogs and carrying everything I need to live and work on the road, in the forest and far from cell signal. I brought that same mindset into my motorcycle life too, so for years now I’ve been splitting my heart, my time and my stories between 4×4 and two wheels.

Sometimes you’ll also find raw moments from the road here – both 4×4 and motorcycle journeys.
I hope they inspire you to set off on your own.

See you somewhere beyond the beaten path.
